    Updated 9 September 2026 · BoldZee Tech Ventures Inc.

    We collect the minimum we need to do the work you paid for, and we tell you plainly what that is. This page lists everything we hold, why we hold it, who else touches it and how to get it back or have it deleted. Every clause has a plain-English note beside it.

    We never sell your data
    Not to advertisers, not to brokers, not to anyone. There is no version of our business that involves it.
    Mostly business information
    Your name, your work email, your URL and what you told us about your business.
    Ask and it is deleted
    Email us and we remove what we hold, subject to the records we are legally required to keep.
    A person handles it
    privacy@boldzee.com. We respond within 30 days and usually within one business day.

    01 About this policy

    This policy explains how BoldZee Tech Ventures Inc. (“BoldZee”, “we”, “us”), a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada, collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information. It applies to boldzee.com, to reports.boldzee.com, and to every service we sell.

    We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act, Quebec's Law 25 where it applies, and applicable United States state privacy laws including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended.

    Our Privacy Officer can be reached at privacy@boldzee.com.

    In plain terms

    This covers our website, our report system and every service we sell. We follow Canadian and applicable US privacy law, and there is a named person you can email about it.

    02 What we collect

    We collect the following categories of information.

    Information you give us when you order. Your name, business name, email address, billing address and the details you enter into the intake form: the URL to be reviewed, your goal for it, your primary call to action, your current challenge, your target audience, your traffic source and any notes you add.

    Payment information. Handled by our payment processor. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded, the amount, the currency and the last four digits of the card. We never receive or store full card numbers.

    Information about your website or account. The public content of the pages you ask us to review, technical measurements taken from them, screenshots, and, where a service requires it and you grant it, read access to an analytics or advertising account. This is covered in more detail in section 05.

    Information collected automatically. IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring source and interactions with the site, gathered through cookies and analytics as described in section 04.

    Information you send us directly. Anything in an email, a contact form submission or a support conversation.

    Information from third parties. Order and account details from our e-commerce platform, and engagement data from our email platform such as whether a message was opened.

    In plain terms

    Mostly it is your name, your work email, your URL and what you told us about your business, plus the usual website analytics. We never see your card number.

    03 Why we collect it

    We use personal information for the following purposes and no others:

    • to deliver the service you bought, including performing the review and preparing your report;
    • to communicate with you about your order, including confirmations, status updates and delivery;
    • to provide support and answer questions;
    • to process payments, issue refunds and meet our accounting and tax obligations;
    • to operate and improve our website and services;
    • to send marketing emails where you have consented, as described in section 12;
    • to detect and prevent fraud and abuse;
    • to meet legal obligations.

    Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. Withdrawing consent for marketing does not affect our ability to send you messages about an order you have placed.
    In plain terms

    To do the job, to keep you informed, to take payment, to keep the site working, and to email you only if you asked us to.

    04 Cookies and tracking

    We use cookies and similar technologies for three purposes: to make the site function, including the cart and checkout; to understand how the site is used through analytics; and, where you consent, to measure the performance of our advertising.

    Essential cookies are required for the site to work and cannot be switched off. Analytics and advertising cookies are optional, and where required by law we ask for your consent before setting them. You can change your choice at any time through our cookie settings, and you can block or delete cookies in your browser, though doing so may prevent checkout from working.

    In plain terms

    Some cookies keep the cart working; those have to stay. The ones that measure traffic and ads are optional and you can turn them off whenever you like.

    05 What we access when we audit your site

    Performing an audit means examining the asset you submit. Depending on the service, this may include loading and crawling the pages within scope, measuring their technical performance, capturing screenshots and recordings of them, and reviewing their public content and code.

    Where a service states that account access is required, such as read access to an analytics or advertising account, you grant that access at your discretion and may revoke it at any time after delivery. We ask for the lowest level of access that allows the work to be done, we do not change settings in your accounts unless the service you bought is an implementation service that says we will, and we do not access anything outside the scope on the product page.

    Screenshots and measurements taken during an audit are stored with your report. If your site displays personal information publicly, it may appear incidentally in a screenshot; we redact it where we notice it, and you can ask us to redact anything you spot.

    In plain terms

    We look at the pages you send us the way a visitor would, take screenshots and measurements, and if a service needs account access we ask for read-only and only for what is in scope. Tell us if something needs blurring out and we will do it.

    06 Please do not send us your customers' data

    Our services do not require access to your customers' personal information, and we ask you not to provide it. Please do not send us customer lists, exports, database dumps, payment card data, health information, government identification numbers or other sensitive personal information.

    If you send us material of this kind, we will tell you, and we will delete it rather than store it, unless doing so would compromise work already in progress. Where an implementation service genuinely requires access to a system containing customer data, we will say so on the product page and agree the handling with you in writing before we start.

    In plain terms

    We do not need your customer database and we would rather not hold it. If you send it by accident, we tell you and delete it.

    07 Who else touches your information

    We use a small number of service providers to run the business. Each receives only what it needs, is bound by contract to protect it, and may not use it for its own purposes.

    Purpose What is shared
    E-commerce platform and checkout Order details, contact details, billing address
    Payment processing Payment and billing information; card data goes to the processor, never to us
    Business email and file storage Correspondence and order-related documents
    Transactional email delivery Your email address and the message content
    Marketing email platform Your email address, name and engagement data, where you have consented
    Analytics and advertising measurement Usage data as described in section 04, subject to your cookie choices
    Report hosting Your report content and its private link
    Specialists delivering your order Only the intake details and access needed for that specific job, under confidentiality obligations

    We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising in the sense used by California law, and we do not disclose it to anyone else except where required by law, in response to a valid legal request, or to establish or defend a legal claim.
    In plain terms

    A handful of providers run our store, email and analytics, plus the specialist doing your job. Nobody else. We do not sell your data and we never will.

    08 Where your information is stored

    BoldZee operates from Canada. Some of our service providers store or process information in the United States and other countries, which means information may be transferred outside the province and outside Canada, and may be accessible to authorities in those countries under their laws.

    We select providers that offer protection comparable to what is required here, and we contract for that protection. If you would like a list of the countries where your information may be processed, email privacy@boldzee.com and we will tell you.

    In plain terms

    We are Canadian, but some of the tools we use are American, so your information may sit on servers there. We pick providers that protect it properly, and you can ask us where anything lives.

    09 How long we keep it

    We keep personal information only as long as it serves the purpose it was collected for, or as long as the law requires.

    What How long
    Order and billing records Seven years, as required by Canadian tax and accounting rules
    Intake answers and audit working material For the life of your report, then deleted
    Delivered reports and videos Retained so you can return to them, with notice before any withdrawal of access
    Support correspondence Two years from the last message
    Marketing contact details Until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them
    Website analytics In line with the retention setting of the analytics tool

    Anonymised and aggregated data, which cannot identify you, may be kept indefinitely as described in section 11.
    In plain terms

    Tax records have to be kept for seven years. Almost everything else goes when it stops being useful, and your report stays available until you tell us otherwise.

    10 How we protect it

    We apply security measures proportionate to the sensitivity of what we hold: encryption in transit, access limited to the people who need it, individual accounts with multi-factor authentication, private unlisted links for delivered reports, and vetted providers for storage and processing.

    No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If a breach occurs that creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the relevant privacy regulators as the law requires, and we will tell you what happened rather than minimising it.

    In plain terms

    Encrypted, access-controlled, and reports sit at private links. If something ever goes wrong, we tell you straight and we tell the regulator.

    11 Anonymised and aggregated data

    We derive anonymised, aggregated insight from the work we perform, in order to improve our services and to build benchmark datasets describing common patterns across the businesses we review.

    This data never identifies you, your business, your URLs or any individual, and it cannot be reversed to do so. We will not publish your name, your logo, your report or any identifiable detail as a sample, case study or marketing material without your prior written permission.

    In plain terms

    We learn from patterns across all the work we do, but the data is stripped of anything that points back to you. Your business never appears as an example unless you say yes first.

    12 Marketing emails

    We send marketing email only where you have consented, in line with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation. Every marketing message carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately and permanently, and we identify ourselves and our contact details in every message.

    Messages about an order you placed, such as confirmations, status updates and delivery, are transactional rather than marketing, and you receive them regardless. If you unsubscribe from marketing, you will still receive those.

    In plain terms

    We only market to you if you agreed to it, and one click stops it for good. You will still get the emails about your actual order, because you need those.

    13 Your rights

    You have the right to:

    • knowwhat personal information we hold about you and what we do with it;
    • accessa copy of it;
    • correctanything inaccurate or incomplete;
    • deleteit, subject to records we are legally required to retain;
    • withdraw consentfor anything based on consent, including marketing;
    • portabilitymeaning a copy in a structured, commonly used format, where the law provides for it;
    • complainto a privacy regulator, as described in section 18.

    If you are a California resident, you additionally have the right to know the categories collected, disclosed and sold; the right to delete; the right to correct; the right to opt out of sale or sharing, noting that we do neither; and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these. We do not offer financial incentives for personal information.
    In plain terms

    You can see what we hold, fix it, take it with you, or have it deleted. Ask and it happens. We will never treat you differently for asking.

    14 How to exercise your rights

    To
    privacy@boldzee.com
    Subject
    Privacy request
    Our reply
    Within thirty days, usually within one business day
    Cost
    None

    Email privacy@boldzee.com with the subject “Privacy request” and tell us what you want. We may ask you to confirm your identity, which protects you rather than us, and we will limit that check to what is necessary.

    We respond within thirty days, and usually within one business day. There is no charge. If we cannot do what you asked, for example because we are legally required to retain a record, we will tell you which records and which law.

    In plain terms

    One email. We reply fast, it costs nothing, and if there is something we cannot delete we tell you exactly why.

    15 Children

    Our services are sold to businesses and are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of majority in their jurisdiction. If we learn that we have, we delete it.

    In plain terms

    This is a business service. We do not collect information from children, and if we somehow did, we would delete it.

    16 How we use AI, and what we do not use it for

    We use artificial intelligence tools to accelerate parts of our analysis, such as processing technical measurements and organising findings. A specialist reviews, authors and is responsible for every report and every recommendation we deliver. AI does not produce the deliverable and does not replace professional judgment.

    We do not use AI to make automated decisions about individuals that produce legal or similarly significant effects. We do not use your personal information to train publicly available AI models. Where a tool is used to process material you submit, we select providers that do not train their models on customer data.

    In plain terms

    AI helps us work faster; a human specialist does the thinking and signs off on everything you receive. Your information is not used to train anybody's AI model.

    17 Changes to this policy

    We may update this policy. The updated date at the top of the page always reflects the current version. Where a change materially affects how we handle your personal information, we will notify you directly rather than relying on you noticing.

    In plain terms

    If we change something that matters, we email you rather than quietly editing the page.

    18 Questions and complaints

    Contact our Privacy Officer at privacy@boldzee.com with any question, concern or complaint. We take complaints seriously and will investigate and respond in writing.

    If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada, to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia, to the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec if you are in Quebec, or to the privacy regulator in your own jurisdiction. We will tell you how to reach the relevant one if you ask.

    In plain terms

    Email us first and we will look into it properly. If we do not resolve it, you can escalate to a privacy regulator, and we will help you find the right one.

    The notes beside each clause are a plain-language summary written to make this page usable. They are not legal advice, and where a note and a clause read differently, the clause governs.
